Latest NewsReservoir leak assessed - 03 Oct 2008Work to assess a leak in the approximately 60-year-old water reservoir off Ada Street, Eastgrove, is now underway. To allow the cause of the leak to be assessed, the majority of the water was drained through normal residential use in the past three weeks. However, a small amount of remaining water that was below the outlet level had to be released via the stormwater system. more ..Cr Carol James unanimously elected as new Mayor of Goulburn Mulwaree - 30 Sep 2008 Cr Carol James was elected as Mayor of Goulburn Mulwaree Council at a Special Council Meeting on 30 September 2008, with Cr Bob Kirk elected as Deputy Mayor.

This Sunday the Waterworks celebrates the 125th birthday of the magnificent Appleby Beam Engine and 50 years since the engine was restored in Goulburn.
Goulburn has narrowly missed out on hosting the coveted 2011 Australian Street Rod Nationals, and will now turn its attention to hosting the 2009 Nationals.
Places for participants are limited, but those who miss out will still be able to watch the action. The cost is $40 per participant, which has been subsidised by Goulburn Mulwaree Council.

Mr Cullen, who now lives in Gunning, will bring the famous poet to life in his performance, On the Wallaby – A Salute to Henry Lawson, which has had a successful run in Gunning recently, earning widespread praise.
Students at East Goulburn have received a special presentation about Goulburn Mulwaree Council’s new City to Soil program.
On Wednesday, Project Manager Simone Dilkara and Facilities Engineer Andrew Galland spoke to a number of classes at East Goulburn about the City to Soil project that began in Eastgrove this week.
It will eventually involve 13,200 homes in Goulburn Mulwaree, Lachlan, Palerang and Queanbeyan Council areas receiving free six-litre kitchen top bins and compostable biobags for the collection of food scraps. These scraps will then be combined with other organic waste, turned into high quality compost and provided to local farmers – who will use it to improve agricultural soils and in turn, produce more food.
